Oceans II complex like new again

It was a proud moment for the Citi-Con team when we handed over the refurbished Oceans II complex in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, to our client.

We were awarded this contract based on the quality of the refurbishment services that we have supplied to many other hotel owners and operators. Certainly, Citi-Con has earned an enviable reputation for being able to restore hotel and leisure assets to their original state, while safeguarding them from future deterioration.

All cracks were filled with Pro-Struct crack filler. This tough, flexible and low-shrink crack-filling material has excellent water and UV resistance. It is also unaffected by cyclic temperature changes.

Spalled concrete was repaired with Eucorepair V100. This single-component, quick-setting repair mortar has been formulated with unique polymers and fibre reinforcement. It contains an integral corrosion inhibitor, and its low permeability further helps to protect reinforcement inside concrete. These traits make it an ideal solution for marine structures which are exposed to sulphates, carbonates and chlorides attack.

All of the windows were sealed with Dymonic 100. This is a high-performance and -movement; single-component; medium-modulus; non-sag polyurethane sealant.

To complete the refurbishment, the external structure was painted with a high-quality Dulux paint. This will save the property owner in restoration costs over the lifecycle of the building.
