Distribution centre repaired
We completed major repairs at Lancewood’s distribution centre according to time, scope and cost.
The repair system entailed sealing all external wall joints and then painting the walls of the structure. External joints were sealed with Soudal paintable sealant. This solvent-free acrylic-based filler is suited to low-movement joints, as well as gaps and cracks. It can also receive coatings shortly after it has been applied, enabling repairs to be undertaken in a shorter period.
Thereafter, the walls were coated with Prominent Ultraprime, a high-performance water-based primer. They were then ready to receive their final coat. For this application, Citi-Con suggested Prominent Neuklad because it is one of the most durable and versatile waterproofing coatings available. It is based on a proprietary pure acrylic blend and is reinforced with carefully selected natural and pure fibres. These provide the coating with unsurpassed flexibility, elongation and elasticity, in addition to excellent UV and water resistance.
